In 25 years of professional education I have been an elementary resource teacher, an elementary classroom teacher, a staff development trainer, a special education secondary district transition coordinator and a teacher consultant. Each of these opportunities have given me the opportunity to take risks, learn and grow in ways I had never imagined.
Participation in PLP this year has expanded my understanding of learning in a digital environment. My knowledge base has expanded exponentially. Although my open participation was limited in this initial exposure, I have moved on to find avenues to continue my growth and learning in digital learning environments related to my field of study. I also am working with a professional county organization who has agreed to begin a social networking learning environment for next year.
Personally, participating in the PLP project has given me an opportunity to develop an even greater respect for my colleagues as learners, coaches, comic relief, and trainers. Life is DIGITALLY good!
